  • 3 – 4 cardamoms(elaichi)
  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups seared brilliant chestnut onions
  • tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp oil

For the Rice:

  • 1 kg basmati rice
  • Water for boiling
  • 1 cinnamon stick(dalchini)
  • 2-3 cloves(loung)
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds(shahi zeera)
  • 2-3 cardamoms(elaichi)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 – 3 dark pepper corns(kali mirch)
  • salt – to taste

For Dum Seasoning:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp fricasseed onions
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 cup saffron seasoned milk
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup water

For Garnishing:

  • Roasted onions

For The Chicken Marination:

  1. Wash the chicken pieces well with lemon juice and water and strain the chicken totally.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste into it.
  3. Add red stew powder, turmeric powder, salt and blend well.
